Hi! I’m Lisa Orris and I’m the founder of Grief Guide.

I have experienced deep grief. My oldest son Billy was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2015. Just as my life starting feeling ‘normal’ again, my beautiful Daughter in Law passed away in 2022.

These events have led me on a path to helping others navigate their own grief.

Prior to starting Grief Guide, I was the pastor at Hope Church in Crystal Lake, IL.  In 2023 I was named one of McHenry County’s Women of Distinction. In addition to running Grief Guide, I am a mother to 3 adult children (2 still living) and 2 beautiful grandchildren with another on the way!

I believe in only 2 seasons. Sumer and NOT Summer. I’ll let you guess which one is my favorite!
